Very beautiful and peaceful place. I wish that they would have more things so I can stay longer. Nice town to visit and not too far from Chicago.
I also used the opportunity as well as a visual teaching aid for my small children; it is a powerful educational tool as the statues help bring the stories to life.
It was a very revealing and realizing place to see each station of the cross shown with life-size scale cast iron statues. Soft, somber music also helped to set the appropriate mood. Highly recommended for any Christian, of any denomination.
The gift shop is actually quite large and nicer than many stand-alone Christian book stores - it is a great place just to shop special occasions.
A wonderful and beautiful destination for people of all denominations. I have lived in the area for 9 years, but really knew little about it. My in-laws visited us this summer and I decided to take everyone for a visit; it was a wonderful afternoon and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The layout / landscaping is beautiful.
